Crawford v. State

Opinion of the Court

HOUSTON, Justice.

WRIT QUASHED AS IMPROVIDENTLY GRANTED.

HOOPER, C.J., and ALMON, SHORES, KENNEDY, and COOK, JJ., concur. MADDOX and BUTTS, JJ., dissent.

Dissenting Opinion

MADDOX, Justice

(dissenting).

I dissent from the order quashing the writ, because I believe this case is substantially similar to Ex parte McReynolds, 662 So.2d 886 (Ala. 1994), which involved an escape conviction. I dissented in McReynolds.
