Ingram, Hooper, Almon, Butts, Houston

Wright v. State

Opinion of the Court

INGRAM, Justice.

WRIT DENIED.

HOOPER, C.J., and ALMON and BUTTS, JJ., concur. HOUSTON, J., concurs in the result.

Concurring Opinion

HOUSTON, Justice

(concurring in the result).

I would not vote to reverse the judgment of the trial court except for the fact that the district attorney’s secretary remained silent. She was seated next to the district attorney during voir dire examination. It is obvious that she knew her former mother-in-law, the grandmother of her child. She should have revealed that fact to the court, the prosecution, and the defense.
