Nobles asserts that this Court has subject matter jurisdiction over this matter pursuant to

(a). The Court needs more information before it can determine whether Nobles is correct. District courts “have original jurisdiction of all civil actions where the matter in controversy exceeds the sum or value of $75,000, exclusive of interest and costs, and is between . . . citizens of different states[.]”

. Plaintiffs bear “the burden of demonstrating that the court has subject matter jurisdiction to hear an action.” Nguyen v. Cache Creek Casino Resort,

, at *2 (E.D. Cal. Jan. 4, 2021), report and recommendation adopted sub nom. Hung Nguyen v. Cache Creek Casino Resort,

(E.D. Cal. Feb. 16, 2021) (citing Kokkonen ». Guardian Life Ins. Co.,

(1994)). Additionally, the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure require that when an action is filed or removed to federal court on the basis of diversity under

Fed. R. Civ. P. 7.1(a)(2)(A). Indeed, each party that subsequently appears must file a Rule 7.1 Disclosure Statement with that party’s “first appearance, pleading, petition, motion, response, or other request addressed to the court.” Fed. R. Civ. P. 7.1(b)(1). The issue here is the citizenship Defendants TheVaultms.com, LLC and SonicBidder.com, LLC which are—according to the allegations in the Complaint— limited liability companies.1 A limited liability company “is a citizen of every state of which its owners/members are citizens.” Johnson v. Columbia Properties Anchorage, LP,

(9th Cir. 2006). The Court cannot determine whether the parties are diverse until it knows the citizenship of every owner/member of each of those two limited liability companies. Accordingly, the Court hereby ORDERS as follows: 1. Plaintiff is DIRECTED to file no later than June 16, 2023, a notice of the names of each owner/member of TheVaultms.com, LLC and SonicBidder.com, LLC, as well as the state of citizenship of each of those owners/members. 2. An in-person hearing on this Order to Show Cause is SET for June 30, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. IT IS SO ORDERED.
