ANSTEAD, Judge,

specially concurring:

Although I sympathize with the plight of the appellant, I must concur with the majority’s affirmance of the trial court order which in effect established appellant’s liability to appellees by default because of the failure of appellant and his counsel to appear for trial. See generally Bader Bros. Van Lines, Inc. v. Jay, 183 So.2d 867 (Fla. 2d DCA 1966).
