S.M. v. Department of Children & Families
Florida District Courts of Appeal · Decided July 2, 2003 · Benton, Ervin, Wolf
848 So. 2d 431; 2003 Fla. App. LEXIS 9901; 2003 WL 21501918 (Southern Reporter, Second Series)

S.M. v. Department of Children & Families

Opinion of the Court

PER CURIAM.

The Department did not meet its statutory duties in this case because it did not make “reasonable efforts” to reunite the mother and her children, as required by section 39.806(l)(e), Florida Statutes (2002). For this reason, we reverse the *432order terminating the mother’s parental rights.

WOLF, C.J., and ERVIN, J., concur; BENTON, J., dissents.
