Defendant, Ashton Dean Biggs, was charged with third degree rape, in violation of La.R.S. 14:43. On June 2, 2022, Defendant entered a guilty plea to an amended charge of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile, in violation of La.R.S.

14:80. On the same day, the Defendant was sentenced to serve ten years at hard labor without benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence. He is currently seeking review of his conviction and sentence in docket 23-258, which has been consolidated with the instant writ.

For the reasons in State v. Biggs, 23-258 (La.App. 3 Cir. __/__/__), ___ So.3d ___, we find no error in the trial court’s ruling and deny this writ.

CONVICTION AFFIRMED, SENTENCE AMENDED, WITH INSTRUCTIONS.
