WRIT DENIED Relator, Mozine Johnson, claims the 24th Judicial District Court has not yet acted on his Emergency Petition for a Writ of Habeas Corpus dated April 9, 2025.

However, our review of the court record shows that Relator’s writ was not filed at the district court, and the application does not include proof of filing – the copy of the emergency petition included with the application, signed on April 25, 2025, is unstamped. Further, Relator’s application contains no proof the pleading was mailed to the district court. See Richardson v. 24th Jud. Dist. Ct. Par. of Jefferson, No. 24-KH-529, 2024 WL 4820774 (La. App. 5 Cir. Nov. 18, 2024), reh’g denied (Dec. 20, 2024). Without verification of Relator’s assertion that he filed the petition with the district court, we cannot grant mandamus relief.
