279 So. 2d 205; 1973 La. LEXIS 6222 (Southern Reporter, Second Series)

State v. Fulford

Opinion of the Court

In re: John Fulford applying for remedial writs and writs of certiorari, prohibition and mandamus.

Writ denied. The trial judge did not abuse his discretion by denying the defendant permission to defend himself along with the assistance of counsel. Cf. State v. Frizzell, 273 So.2d 831 (La.Sup.Ct. 1973).

DIXON, J.,

is of the opinion that the defendant-applicant is entitled both to defend himself and to assistance of counsel.
