State ex rel. Carpenter v. Middlebrooks

Opinion of the Court

In re: Joyce Lynn Carpenter applying for Remedial Writs of Certiorari, Mandamus, Prohibition and Habeas Corpus.

Granted. A hearing on the application is ordered unless respondents show cause to the contrary within IS days.

Concurring Opinion

BARHAM, J.,

concurs. The hearing should develop whether adequate and equal legal services are afforded at St. Gabriel Institute. If the respondent stipulates with relator a differentiation and the extent of it, a hearing may not be required.

SUMMERS, J., is of the opinion the showing made does not warrant the exercise of this Court’s supervisory jurisdiction.
