State v. Hopkins

Supreme Court of Louisiana
State v. Hopkins, 309 So. 2d 337 (La. 1975)
1975 La. LEXIS 5139
Summers

State v. Hopkins

Opinion of the Court

In re: Jimmy Dale Hopkins, et al applying for Supervisory Writs.

Writ denied. Relator has an adequate remedy by appeal in the event of conviction. Because of the absence of a clear showing of error and the time element, the court does not rule on the matter at this time.

Concurring Opinion

SUMMERS, J.,

concurs in the denial. There is no showing that a fair cross-section of the population has not been included in the general venire and there is no showing of deliberate discrimination.
