Supreme Court of Louisiana, 1975

State v. Gallagher

State v. Gallagher
Supreme Court of Louisiana · Decided June 20, 1975 · Barham
313 So. 2d 840; 1975 La. LEXIS 4968 (Southern Reporter, Second Series)

State v. Gallagher

Opinion of the Court

In re: Bettye Gallagher applying for Writ of Certiorari, Prohibition, Mandamus and Habeas Corpus.

Writ refused. The showing made is insufficient to warrant the exercise of our jurisdiction.

Dissenting Opinion

BARHAM, J.,

is of opinion the writ should be granted. R.S. 14:82 proscribing “indiscriminate intercourse with males for compensation” by females is patently constitutionally deficient.
