State v. Lewis

State v. Lewis
Supreme Court of Louisiana · Decided January 14, 1976 · Alone, Application, Denied, Should, Summers, That, There, Timely
324 So. 2d 813; 1976 La. LEXIS 5083 (Southern Reporter, Second Series)

State v. Lewis

Opinion of the Court

In re: Bernice Lewis applying for writs of certiorari, prohibition, mandamus and stay order.

Writ denied.

No showing that trial judge fixed the time for the filing of this application. Moreover, adequate remedy by appeal in the event of conviction.

SUMMERS, J., concurs in the denial. In my view there is no showing that this application is timely filed and this application should be denied for that reason alone.
