State v. Meyers

State v. Meyers
Supreme Court of Louisiana · Decided March 12, 1976 · Dixon
327 So. 2d 378; 1976 La. LEXIS 3970 (Southern Reporter, Second Series)

State v. Meyers

Opinion of the Court

In re: Stanley Meyers, applying for supervisory writs.

Writ denied. Insufficient showing to warrant the exercise of our supervisory jurisdiction.

Concurring Opinion

DIXON, J.,

concurs in the denial. Although almost indistinguishable from Whiteley v. Warden, 401 U.S. 560, 91 S.Ct. 1031, 28 L.Ed.2d 306, that the nature of the offense reported (gun shot) added to the other factors leading to the arrest, supplied the probable cause to arrest and search the applicant.
