Supreme Court of Louisiana, 1977

State v. Lewis

State v. Lewis
Supreme Court of Louisiana · Decided January 7, 1977 · Calogero
340 So. 2d 990; 1977 La. LEXIS 5470 (Southern Reporter, Second Series)

State v. Lewis

Opinion of the Court

In re: Lovaughn Lewis, applying for writ of review.

Writ denied. The showing made is not sufficient to warrant the exercise of this Court’s supervisory jurisdiction.

Concurring Opinion

CALOGERO, J.,

concurs in writ denial. Applicant’s withdrawing motion for new trial prior to sentencing precluded trial court’s entertaining it, and prevents this Court’s review of denial of the motion (assuming the trial court would have denied motion for a new trial).
