State v. Jenkins
Supreme Court of Louisiana
State v. Jenkins, 341 So. 2d 555 (La. 1977)
1977 La. LEXIS 5395
Dennis
State v. Jenkins
Opinion of the Court
In re: Roderick J. Jenkins, applying for writs of certiorari, prohibition, mandamus and stay order.
Writ refused. There is no adequate showing of error in the proceedings below.
Dissenting Opinion
dissenting. In the absence of a record clearly showing that the defendant waived his right to be present at rendition of verdict or waived the right to assistance of counsel at sentencing, I would grant the writ for the limited purpose of rendition of verdict and, in the event of conviction, the sentencing, in the presence of both the defendant and his attorney.
