Opinion of the Court

*1348In re: Bayani Virata Faylona applying for Admission to the Louisiana Bar.

ORDER

Writ granted.

MARCUS, Justice.

IT IS ORDERED that the Committee on Bar Admissions permit Bayani Virata Fay-lona to take the Bar Examination commencing February 13, 1978. Prior to certification, the Committee shall hold a hearing at which applicant shall be afforded an opportunity to demonstrate that the law school of the University of Manila, from which applicant graduated, satisfies the standards for approval of the American Bar Association.

SANDERS, C. J., dissents. SUMMERS, J., dissents for reasons assigned.

Concurring Opinion

DIXON, J.,

concurs in the order, being of the opinion the graduate degree in law from Tulane, preceded by graduation from the school of law of the U. of Manila may satisfy the requirements for taking the bar exam.

Dissenting Opinion

SUMMERS, J.,

dissents. The showing made does not satisfy the rules applicable to admission. Due to the late application the Association has had no opportunity to determine applicant’s qualifications.

Dissenting Opinion

SANDERS, C. J.,

dissents from this action, but would instruct the Committee on Bar Admissions to develop rules governing foreign law schools.
