(Southern Reporter, Second Series)
State v. Masterson
Opinion of the Court
In re William Masterson, applying for writs of certiorari, prohibition, mandamus and for a stay order. Caddo Parish.
Granted. Preliminary hearing ordered without further delay.
The accused’s constitutional right to a preliminary examination fixed for hearing cannot be evaded by continuing the hearing in order to permit the grand jury time to indict an accused.
