State v. Lewis
Supreme Court of Louisiana · Decided March 23, 1979 · Dennis, Dixon
369 So. 2d 158; 1979 La. LEXIS 5684 (Southern Reporter, Second Series)

State v. Lewis

Opinion of the Court

In re Lloyd Lewis applying for writs of certiorari, prohibition and mandamus. Parish of Calcasieu. No. RC-186-79.

Writ denied.

Concurring Opinion

DIXON, J.,

concurs in the denial. See R.S. 15:574.8, et seq.

Dissenting Opinion

DENNIS, J.,

would grant the writ. In view of the constitutional guarantees of right to bail and presumption of innocence, it is real clear that relator is foreclosed from bail prior to his adjudication as a parole violator.
