City of New Orleans v. United Gas Pipe Line Co.
Supreme Court of Louisiana
City of New Orleans v. United Gas Pipe Line Co., 407 So. 2d 714 (La. 1981)
Blanche, Lemmon
City of New Orleans v. United Gas Pipe Line Co.
Opinion of the Court
In re: United Gas Pipe Line Company applying for writ of review Civil District Court, Parish of Orleans, Nos. 575-544, 577-399, 579-040.
The motion to recuse is denied on the merits. The application is denied.
Concurring Opinion
would order the City of New Orleans, the class action of the rate payers and the Public Service Commission out of the suit as the contract action is none of their business until the plaintiffs, utility companies, recover in their suit against defendant.
Concurring Opinion
would order a 90-day continuance, which was warranted when the filing of the amended pleadings was allowed.
