Ralls v. Ralls

Ralls v. Ralls
Supreme Court of Louisiana · Decided October 7, 1983 · Lemmon
438 So. 2d 1107; 1983 La. LEXIS 11748 (Southern Reporter, Second Series)

Ralls v. Ralls

Opinion of the Court

In Re: Julius Garrett Ralls, Jr., applying for Writ of Certiorari, Mandamus and Review, to the Court of Appeal Third Circuit, Number 83-612; from the Fifteenth Judicial District Court, Parish of Lafayette, Number 83-1297.

Denied.

Concurring Opinion

LEMMON, Justice,

concurs.

The district court had jurisdiction over the person pursuant to La.R.S. 13:3201(f). Although service should have been made according to La.R.S. 13:3204, a certified copy of the citation and petition apparently was “actually delivered” to defendant by the attorney appointed to represent him.
