State v. Mason

Supreme Court of Louisiana
State v. Mason, 456 So. 2d 1386 (La. 1984)
1984 La. LEXIS 9928
Bond, Calogero, Dixon, Grant, Lemmon, Reduce, Relator

State v. Mason

Opinion of the Court

In re: Mason, Jon, Applying for Stay, Supervisory Writs, Parish of Livingston, 21st Judicial District Court, Div. “D”, No. C-3203; to the Court of Appeal, First Circuit, No. KW-84-1237.

Denied.

DIXON, C.J., would grant and reduce the bond to $80,000. CALOGERO, J., would reduce relator’s bond to $100,000.

Concurring Opinion

LEMMON, J.,

concurs in the denial. Relator may again seek reduction of bail on the basis of a voluntary psychiatric commitment as a condition reasonably related to assuring his appearance.
