(Southern Reporter, Third Series)
State ex rel. C.B.M. v. Miller
Opinion of the Court
Applying For Supervisory and/or Remedial Writs, Parish of St. Tammany, City Court of Slidell Juvenile Division, No. 13 JS 2327; to the Court of Appeal, First Circuit, No. 2013 CM 1843.
11Writ denied.
Dissenting Opinion
dissenting.
hi am greatly troubled by such sharp practice that would deny these maternal grandparents a voice in the well-being of their handicapped grandchild. While the grandparents might well be not suitable as a placement for the child, to deny them any participation whatsoever in the process to determine the child’s best interest is needlessly heartless. I would therefore grant the writ to allow them to intervene in these proceedings.
