Miller v. Morgan

Miller v. Morgan
Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court · Decided November 4, 1886
143 Mass. 25; 8 N.E. 644; 1886 Mass. LEXIS 9

Miller v. Morgan

Opinion of the Court

By the Court.

The paper signed by the foreman of the jury cannot be understood as anything else than a verdict for the plaintiff. Although it does not mention the name of the case in which it was rendered, the record of the court supplies this omission, as it shows that it was rendered in open court as the verdict in this case, and was filed in the case as such verdict. The exceptions are frivolous.

Exceptions overruled.
