Claim of Cordean v. Lazarek
Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of New York · Decided September 20, 1944
268 A.D. 837; 50 N.Y.S.2d 559; 1944 N.Y. App. Div. LEXIS 3697
Claim of Cordean v. Lazarek

Opinion of the Court

A non-insured employer, a general contractor and its insurance carrier have been held liable for compensation in favor of the widow and minor child of a deceased employee. The Industrial Board found that decedent was an employee of the noninsnred employer. It also found that the accident to decedent was embraced within the scope of the policy issued to the contractor. The evidence sustains the finding of the Industrial Board, Award affirmed, with costs to the State Industrial Board. All concur.
