People v. Saftchick

Judgment of a city magistrate, holding a Court of Special Sessions of the City of New York, Borough of Brooklyn, convicting defendant of a violation of section 986 of the Penal Law (book-making), reversed on the law and the facts, the complaint dismissed and the fine remitted. The evidence was insufficient to establish, beyond a reasonable doubt, the guilt of defendant of the crime charged in the information. Lewis, P. J., Hagarty, Johnston, Adel and Nolan, JJ., concur.
