In re Destiny Aaliyah K.
Opinion of the Court
In a proceeding pursuant to Social Services Law § 384-b, inter alia, to terminate parental rights on the ground of abandonment, the father appeals from an order of fact-finding and disposition of the Family Court, Queens County (Richardson-Mendelson, J.), dated April 25, 2008, which, after a fact-finding hearing, found that he abandoned the subject child, terminated his parental rights, and transferred his rights of custody and guardianship of the child to the petitioner and the Commissioner of Social Services of the City of New York for the purpose of adoption.
Ordered that the order of fact-finding and disposition is affirmed, without costs or disbursements.
The Family Court properly concluded that it was in the child’s best interests to terminate the father’s parental rights (see Matter of Crystal C., 219 AD2d 601, 602 [1995]).
The father’s remaining contentions are without merit. Santucci, J.P., Florio, Covello and Dickerson, JJ., concur.
