Opinion of the Court
Appeal from a judgment of the Monroe County Court (Stephen R. Sir kin, J.), rendered November 29, 2005. The judgment convicted defendant, upon his plea of guilty, of manslaughter in the first degree.
It is hereby ordered that the judgment so appealed from is unanimously affirmed.
Memorandum: Defendant appeals from a judgment convicting him upon his plea of guilty of manslaughter in the first degree (Penal Law § 125.20 [1]). We reject defendant’s challenge to the factual sufficiency of the plea allocution. Defendant was indicted on charges of, inter alia, murder in the second degree (§ 125.25 [1], [2]), and “ ‘[a] bargained guilty plea to a lesser crime makes unnecessary a factual basis for the particular crime confessed’ ” (People v Turner, 16 AD3d 1150 [2005], lv denied 5 NY3d 770 [2005], quoting People v Clairborne, 29 NY2d 950, 951 [1972]).
