Thepetitionerfiledapetitionfor post-convictionrelief, arguingthat but forhisattorney’sfailuretoadvisehim of his rig toappeal after the sentencing hearing, he would have appealed fromthe sentence im ht posed and likely succeeded.

Thepetitionerwaschargedwithandpledguiltytoseveralcountsofaggravatedassa t,aggravatedburglary, ul andburglary. Foroneof theaggravatedburglary counts, thetrial court orderedthe petitionertosuccessfullycompletethe Lifeline drug treatm programandim ent posedaone-yearsentenceof incarcerationtobeservedday-for-day.
