Morrow v. Calloway
Tennessee Supreme Court
Morrow v. Calloway, 8 Tenn. 565 (Tenn. 1827)
Morrow v. Calloway
Opinion of the Court
The judgment of the Circuit Court must be affirmed; a justice of the peace has jurisdiction upon any bond, bill single, promissory note, or account stated and the balance ascertained to be due under the hand of the party, in all cases where the amount does not exceed one hundred dollars ; here the judgment for the principal and interest considerably exceeded that sum.
Judgment affirmed.
