Bell v. Douglass, 9 Tenn. 397 (Tenn. 1830)

Bell v. Douglass

Opinion of the Court

Per Curiam.

The only question is, can the tools of a mechanic be levied upon whilst he is using them? The writ of fieri facias may be levied on all the goods of the defendant, (except his wearing apparel, or other articles excepted by the statute,) as well implements of trade, as others. Com. Digest, execution, ch. 4. The judgment must be rendered for the defendants.

Judgment accordingly.
