Bridges v. May
Tennessee Supreme Court
Bridges v. May, 1 Thompson 96 (Tenn. 1853)
1 Shan. Cas. 67
McKinney, Tbe
Bridges v. May
Opinion of the Court
The Circuit Judge must be put in tbe wrong, or a reverse! will not be bad.
Rehearing refused.
Dissenting Opinion
dissenting:
Where the Circuit Judge undertakes to lay down, the law and does it imperfectly, it is error. Otherwise, where the matter decided is merely illustrative. The true rule in this case is that the debits are to be taken, except so far as disproved.
