Butler v. Curators of the University

U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit
Butler v. Curators of the University, 49 F. App'x 653 (8th Cir. 2002)

Butler v. Curators of the University

Opinion

PER CURIAM.

Darwin Butler appeals the district court’s 1 order granting defendant’s motion to enforce a settlement. Upon careful review of the record, we reject Mr. Butler’s argument that the hen asserted by the Division of Child Support Enforcement (“Division”) was not perfected. The Division filed proper notice under Mo.Rev.Stat. § 454.505 thereby perfecting a hen on Mr. Butler’s settlement proceeds. Accordingly, we affirm the district court’s order enforcing the settlement agreement. See 8th Cir. R. 47B.
