United States Customs Court · Decided September 29, 1941 · Keefe
7 Cust. Ct. 275
Protest 36995-K of Sprouse-Reitz Co.

Opinion of the Court

Opinion by

Keefe, J.

At the trial it was agreed that an analysis be made of the sample. The chemist reported that “The faces are composed wholly of earthy or mineral substances, not plaster of Paris.” From an examination of the evidence the court was unable to find anything sufficient to overcome the presumption of correctness attaching to the collector’s action. The protest was therefore overruled.
