On February 8, 2013, Sarah Behie (“petitioner”) filed a petition for compensation pursuant to the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program.2 42 U.S.C. §§ 300aa-1 to -34 (2006). The petition alleges that petitioner suffered Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) which was caused by an influenza (flu) vaccine administered to her on October 5, 2010. Petition at ¶¶ 1-7. On June 2, 2014, a decision was entered awarding compensation to petitioner based on the parties’ stipulation.
On August 27, 2014, the parties filed a Stipulation of Fact Concerning Attorneys’ Fees and Costs. According to the stipulation, the parties stipulate to a total award to petitioner of attorneys’ fees and costs in the amount of $84,309.86.
